Horizon Restoration is meticulous in every area of restoration. With disasters there are the obvious issues that arise, including standing water after
a flood, charred structure and contents after a fire, and visible mold growth from leaking pipes or drains. The invisible hazards are just as important
to restore, because of bad residual affects. Our Air Quality Team is trained, experienced, and is committed to restoring every affected area.
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is important because large numbers of people can become affected in a short period of time from airborne contaminants. These
contaminants collect in the heating and air conditioning system and are spread throughout the building. This is known as the "sick building syndrome".
Horizon will assess the cause of the indoor air quality issues, as well as decide the proper avenue of action to correct the problem. Depending on the
severity, some of the procedures we may use are a pneumatic whip, high pressure wash to the ventilation system, vacuum and chemical wash, or sanitary
fog to destroy bacteria and fungi.
Air scrubbing and deodorization are performed to remove any traces of fire odor from the entire structure and ventilation system. We will implement the
best procedure to handle any condition that may arise. Some of our tools to
combat the conditions are HEPA and charcoal filtered air scrubbers, thermal fog (electric and gas), ozone, wet spray and wet wipe. Horizon will ensure
that the entire structure is restored to a healthy condition.
